About The Keepsake Company

Hi, I am Sophie Daly the creator of The Keepsake Company.

I am extremely passionate about preserving memories by transforming your loved one’s clothing into a beautiful keepsake you can treasure for years to come. As a mom myself, I understand how important certain pieces of clothing can be for both the person who wore them and their family. I established the business in early 2022 while I was on maternity leave with my youngest because I wanted to help others keep precious memories close. Little did I know back then how successful my little business would be. I am eternally grateful to each and every person who supports my business so that I can make tangible creations to cherish forever.

I understand that sending your most loved items can be daunting, so complete transparency is key to finding someone you can trust....

So here is a little bit of info about me:

I am 29 years old and have two beautiful daughters. I have a degree in Fashion Business and Promotion and a Post Graduate Degree in Design and Technology.

I learnt how to sew during my PGCE and have previously taught Textiles. I am currently a secondary school teacher working part time, 4 days a week. I then work on my orders in my home office space (pet and smoke free) and have the help from my supportive Husband-to-be as he is in charge of packaging and posting.

2018 was an extremely hard time in my life as I lost 3 family members in the space of 3 months (Feb - April), I then gave birth to my eldest daughter in the May.

I created my first ever memory bear in 2022, as a Mothers Day gift for my mom using my nan & grandads clothing. Seeing the joy and, as my daughter would phrase it "happy tears" from my mom gave me the inspiration to venture into the keepsake business so that I can help others to feel forever connected to their memories.

So I have experienced both ends of the spectrum when it comes to my business. I understand the happy sentimental memories that a single baby grow can hold but just as equally how comforting yet upsetting the smell of my nans old pyjamas are...
